Their oldest daughter, Ethel, married Edgar J. DURHAM; I think that Rosey Eva's parents also lived there?? However, I do not know who they were. The CASSITY children were--Ethel, married E.J.Durham in 1904?; Gladys, married Charles Bluford BOOKER in 1907; Charles Alvin, married Nancy Ann Reeder; Vonnie, married Homer Vernon RICKS; Nellie, married Robert P. MARSH; Henley; Ilma; and Glen,the last child, was born in 1911. Jesse H. & Rosey Eva, as well as other family members, are buried in the Navajoe Cemetery. E.J. & Ethel lived in the area until 1913. Charles Bluford & Gladys, Vonnie & Homer Vernon, Nellie & Robert P. (Bob) lived many years in or near Headrick, OK. Any help would be appreciated.

 1.  WILLIAM LYCURGUS8 LAFON was born July 1846 in Lewis Co. MO, and died 1910 in Headrick, Jackson Co. OK.  He married EMMA NEW 20 November 1874 in Bosque Co. TX, daughter of EDWARD NEW and MARY PETERSON.  She was born 7 August 1856 in Gallatin Co. KY, and died 6 August 1928 in Jackson Co. OK.

He lived with neighbors,whose name I believe was Bailey. His bride to be, Nellie Muggee met him in OK City and they were married on 11 Aug 1910. His brother drowned on 4 Jul 1912 and he had to sell the land and return to IL. He left for IL the Tue before Thanksgiving in 1912 (He voted for Wilson in the Presidential election in OK.) My grandfather James Henry Johnston was born in either Eldorado, Humphrey or Bryan??. On my grandfathers death certificate it has his father listed as Wyatt Newman Johnston and mother listed as Sue Bryant Lee. We are unsure about how much of this information is true. We do know that Wyatt passed away in the late 1940's or early 1950's and it is believed that Sue passed away prior to him. My grandfather, James, was born in 1917 and married my grandmother in 1946, Cora Mae Martin. James was married once before Cora and fathered a child in that marriage. He had nothing or little to do with his son from his first marriage and the name of the child or the first wife is unknown. The place of death for Wyatt, my great grandfather is also unknown. Martha Richardson married David F. Hall in 1900. Other children of marriage to John Harris were Eurah, Josephine, and Russel. Many Richardsons in Brinkman cemetery, are they related to Martha?? Eurah married Lemuel T. Johnston 1908 in Bloomington, OK but she died in 1916, supposed to be buried in Brinkman but couldn't find.

He is believed to have been the father of Earl D. PAYNE who for years was an agent with Jefferson Standard Life Insurance Co. I seek information about others of his family and what happened to him after prison. I believe he was a painter, but he may have traveled as a salesman.

QRYTEXT:I am trying to find my someone named Samuels, my father's half brother. His first name was possibly Ray. His mother (Brown)was from MO and his father (George Samuels )was probably from IL. It is our understanding that when his parents divorced, he was given to a paternal aunt in Altus. He may have been adopted later and changed his name. He would have been born between 1901 and 1910.

She married Clarence ELLIOTT and they lived in Oregon but I understand that either she or her family came from Oklahoma.
